Meet Joe
Not a better man. A new man.
Joe Courtney is the founder of Dead Man Revival and the author of Dead Man Manifesto: 10 Confessions of a Kingdom Leader.
After two decades in pastoral ministry and consulting, Joe laid down a platform-driven life to walk with men ready to die to the old self and live fully in Christ.
Today, he leads a movement of masculine spiritual formation—discipling men through surrender, brotherhood, and the slow, sacred path of apprenticeship to Jesus.
Joe speaks to churches, conferences, men’s ministries, and leadership communities with a call that’s clear, bold, and desperately needed in our moment.
His mission is clear:
Call men out of shallow religion and self-made success into a life of eternal significance.

FAQs
-
Joe Courtney is a spiritual formation mentor, speaker, and author of Dead Man Manifesto: 10 Confessions of a Kingdom Leader.
For over 20 years, Joe served in nearly every pastoral role imaginable—youth, worship, discipleship, and senior pastor. He has pastored in both small country churches and multi-site megachurches. He’s planted churches, preached in arenas of over 10,000, and ministered internationally in Central Asia and Western Africa using interpreter-based teaching.
He also spent years in the marketplace, holding sales and executive roles in companies ranging from Fortune 100 brands to tech startups. In 2019, he founded a media and marketing agency that he led to 7-figure growth, working with mission-driven entrepreneurs. He recently stepped down to return to his life's calling: forming men for their second act, rooted in identity, forged through surrender, and built for eternal impact.
Joe brings all of this experience to his speaking and teaching with the clarity of a preacher, the edge of an entrepreneur, and the conviction of a disciple.
-
Joe holds to historic, orthodox Christian faith rooted in the authority of Scripture and centered on the life, death, resurrection, and lordship of Jesus Christ. His teaching is shaped by New Covenant theology, Spirit-empowered discipleship, and an unwavering call to obey Jesus fully.

We currently operate on a love offering model, especially for churches, men’s retreats, and ministries. However, we suggest a minimum honorarium of $2,000 for stage speaking or weekend events to help cover preparation, travel, and time away from Joe’s family and ministry responsibilities.
If that’s a challenge, reach out anyway. We prioritize alignment over budget.
-
