Family On Mission
In June 2025, our family of six said yes to a call from God. We sold our home, moved into an RV, and began traveling across the country to awaken and form men through Dead Man Revival.
From the coasts of California to Florida, we’ve been equipping discipleship groups, leading retreats, and pastoring men in personal, relational, and deeply transformative ways.
We’ve watched men come alive—confessing hidden struggles, reconciling with their families, and rediscovering who they are in Christ.
But we can’t do this alone. This mission depends on partnership.

ABOUT OUR FAMILY
We’re a family of six—Joe and Sheena, with our daughters Zoe (16), Adele (13), Shae (7), and Brea (2).
Life on the road isn’t easy, but it’s holy. Our kids don’t watch ministry from the sidelines—they live it.
They meet people at campgrounds, pray with friends we make along the way, worship around campfires, and help Dad prepare to serve men hungry for God.
This is what missions in America looks like for us today—carrying the gospel wherever the Lord sends us and trusting Him for every mile, every moment, and every need.

OUR LITTLE MIRACLE
Our youngest daughter, Brea, was born with spina bifida—a diagnosis doctors said would bring lifelong limitations. From her first breath, she has been a picture of God’s mercy and strength.
At two years old, she’s learning to move with the help of her wheelchair and gait trainer. Every step is a victory. Every smile is grace.
Much of Sheena’s daily rhythm is devoted to Brea’s care—helping her build strength, supporting her mobility routines, and tending to the essential needs that come with her condition, even as we travel from place to place. It’s not easy, but it’s sacred work.
Through all of it, we’ve seen God’s faithfulness again and again.
Brea’s joy is contagious. Her courage is constant.
Her life reminds us daily of hope, surrender, and the power of God at work in weakness.
Ministry doesn’t happen apart from our family.
It flows through our family—through every mile and every miracle.

Until now, the ministry of Dead Man Revival has been powered almost entirely by our personal savings after selling our home. Beyond a small amount in travel reimbursements, we haven’t received a salary.
To stay on the road and continue this work at the level men are calling for, we need a team of monthly partners who believe in the mission and want to send our family into the field full-time.

ABOUT JOE coURTNEY
Joe Courtney is the founder of Dead Man Revival and the author of Dead Man Manifesto: 10 Confessions of a Kingdom Leader.
After two decades as a pastor, church planter, consultant, and executive, Joe stepped away from platform-driven ministry to walk shoulder to shoulder with men hungry for real transformation.
His life’s work is helping men die to the old self and live fully surrendered to Christ—through brotherhood, spiritual formation, and the long obedience of apprenticeship to Jesus.
A typical day on the road may look like meeting one-on-one with men for pastoral discipleship, gathering with men’s groups or launching new ones, hosting retreats in the mountains, or driving across states to do it all over again in a new city. The work is personal, relational, and deeply rooted in presence.
In 2025, Joe began traveling coast to coast, equipping men’s groups, preaching, teaching, and pastoring leaders in profoundly personal and transformative ways.
