Statement of Faith
The Scriptures
We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men of God “were moved by the Holy Spirit” to write the very words of Scripture. The original manuscripts are, therefore, without error (inerrant). God has supernaturally preserved the Bible, and it is the final authority for faith and life, providing encouragement, guidance, comfort, and instruction for training in righteousness (2 Ti. 3:16-17; 2 Pe. 1:20-21).
The Trinity
We believe in one true God eternally existing in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), each of Whom is fully and equally God, possesses all of the divine nature, and is totally worthy of our worship and service (Dt. 6:4; Mt. 28:19; Jn 1:14; 10:30; 2 Co. 13:14).
God the Father
We believe that God the Father is the first person of the Trinity and is the eternal, unchanging, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-wise, all-loving, completely just, and perfectly holy, sovereign Ruler and Sustainer of the universe. He is the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Father of all true believers (Gen. 1:1; Eph. 4:6; Jn. 1:12-13; 5:19-21; 17:1-5; Isa.40:21-28; 43:10-13;46:8- 11; Ro.8:14-16).
God the Son
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity and is the only begotten eternal Son of God Who became flesh to reveal God to man, to fulfill prophecy, and to become the Savior of the lost world. In becoming man, Jesus did not cease in any way to be God so that He is fully God and fully man inseparably united in one person forever. Jesus was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit; was born of the Virgin Mary; lived a sinless life; died on the cross; was buried; bodily rose from the dead; physically ascended into heaven in His glorified, resurrected body; is seated at the right hand of the Father as our intercessor; will return again for His bride the Church and to consummate God’s eternal plan (Jn. 1:1, 14, 18; 3:16; Lk. 1:30-35; Php. 2:5-8; Col. 2:3, 9; Mk. 10:45; Ac. 2:22-24; Jn. 1:29; Ro. 3:25- 26; Heb. 10:5-14; 1 Pe. 2:24; 3:18; Jn. 20:20; Php. 3:20-21; Heb. 1:3; Ro. 8:34; 1 Jn. 2:1; Ac. 1:11; Heb. 9:28; 1 Th. 4:13-18; 2 Th. 2:7; Mt. 24:44; Rev. 19:11-21; Rev. 21-22).
God the Holy Spirit
We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, Who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ (John 16:8-11; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:26, 15:13,16; II Corinthians 3:18; Hebrews 9:14). We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide (John 16:13, 14:16-17, 16:8-11; Romans 8:26). We believe in the Baptism with the Holy Spirit as a distinct and separate experience to that of regeneration, occurring either subsequent to or simultaneous with salvation, evidenced by a greater dynamic in the Christian’s life, enabling that person to be a bold and more effective witness. The supreme evidence of the Spirit-filled life is the fruit of the Spirit, love. We believe in the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit in regard to the exercise of all biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit according to the instructions given to us (I Corinthians 12-14).
Sin & salvation
We believe that all people are sinners by nature and choice, falling short of God’s standard and breaking His commandments, and therefore are under God’s righteous judgment. Yet, God saves and gives new life to all who come to Him in repentance and faith, trusting in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. At the cross, Jesus Christ was crucified unto death as the sacrificial ransom for all of mankind. Because Jesus died for the sins of the world, the invitation to believe is open to all, and whoever desires may come unto Jesus for new life and the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 11:28; John 3:16; Acts 3:19, 20:21; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3, 8-9; I John 2:2; Revelation 22:17).
Heaven & Hell
We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell and that all those who place their faith, hope, and trust in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord. Those who reject Jesus’ free gift of salvation will spend eternity separated from the Lord (Psalm 9:17; Matthew 5:3, 5:22, 18:9, 25:31-34; Mark 9:42-49; Luke 12:5; John 3:18; Hebrews 12:23; I Peter 1:4; Revelation 14:10-11, 20:11-15).
Christ’s Second Coming
We believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, which is His personal, visible return to Earth and the establishment of His millennial kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous, and endless separation of the wicked (Matthew 16:27; Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:11-15).
The Christian Life
We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself and should, by the power of the indwelling Spirit, allow Christ to manifest His life through him to God’s glory. By ever-increasing obedience to the Word of God, each believer should mature and progressively become more like Jesus. In the power of the Spirit, each believer should live a holy life, not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, exercise his spiritual gifts to build up the body of Christ, witness for Christ, be personally involved in making disciples to fulfill the great commission, perform good works and bear fruit to the glory of God (Gal. 2:20; 1 Pe. 1:15-16; 2:11; 2 Co. 5:14-15; Ro. 6:11-13; Eph. 2:10; 4:11-12; 4:22-24; 1 Pe. 4:10-11; Ac. 1:8; Mt. 28:18-20; Col. 1:10; Jn. 15:8, 16).
The Kingdom of God
We believe that the central theme of Jesus’ teaching was the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom is not a place but the present and active reign of God in all of life. Through Jesus, the Kingdom has become available to us now, not only after death. Those who follow Jesus are called to seek first the Kingdom and live under His rule and reign in every area of life. The Kingdom is marked by righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17), and it advances through surrendered people who increasingly take on the mind and character of Christ (Matthew 4:17; Matthew 6:10; Matthew 6:33; Luke 4:43; John 3:3; Colossians 1:13; Hebrews 12:28).
Marriage & Family
We believe that God created humanity as male and female in His image, equal in worth and distinct by design, to complement and complete one another. From the beginning, God instituted monogamous marriage between one man and one woman as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6).
Marriage is a sacred covenant meant for lifelong unity, companionship, and procreation. It reflects Christ’s love for the Church, marked by sacrifice, faithfulness, and mutual honor (Ephesians 5:22–33).
We believe that the family is the primary place for spiritual formation, where children are raised in the fear and instruction of the Lord (Deuteronomy 6:6–7; Ephesians 6:4).
Within the family:
Husbands are called to lead with love, humility, and self-sacrifice.
Wives are called to support and honor their husbands with grace and respect.
Parents are entrusted with the responsibility to disciple their children and model godliness in everyday life.
We affirm that strong marriages and families, built on biblical truth, serve as a witness to the world and a pillar for the health of both the Church and society.
